“I’m proud of my proven track record standing up for all of Bellevue—seniors, children, working families, and neighbors across our city.

I’ve fought for investments in our students to close the opportunity gap. I’ve expanded transit options to increase mobility and reduce traffic. I’ve fought for clean water, salmon and essential environmental protections. I led the passage of the Downtown Livability Initiative to better prepare us for growth, density, and preservation of our neighborhoods and communities. As a member of the Light Rail Collaborative Design Leadership Team, I worked to make the system the best for Bellevue, our neighborhoods, the growing Downtown and the connectivity with our neighboring cities. As the Mayor in 2016-2017 I created our Bellevue Affordable Housing Strategy that is now the underpinning for our smart and strong efforts to make Bellevue a community where all of our citizens have a place to live and thrive..

As we continue to grow, it’s clear we have new challenges ahead of us and more work to do. I would greatly appreciate your support for another four years of pragmatic, progressive leadership and productive, meaningful solutions.”
